Crane
When the staircase and lift are not enough, the instrument goes out through a window or balcony. We arrange the equipment and the permit and run the operation.

When the staircase is not enough
Not every instrument fits through every stairwell. Before we force a piano through a spiral staircase that is too tight, it goes around the outside — that is safer and usually faster too.

Truck-mounted crane
For grand pianos and for floors the lift cannot reach. We sort out the standing area, the permit and the road closure in advance and run the operation together with the crane operator.

Furniture lift
The exception rather than the rule: the ladder lift needs standing space in front of the building and a really large window or a balcony — with pianos that is rarely the case. Where it fits, we arrange it.

Two to four weeks afterwards. The instrument needs that time to adapt to the temperature and humidity of its new room — the soundboard moves and the tuning drifts while it does. Tuning immediately usually means paying twice. In summer acclimatisation is faster than in winter, when heated air is dry. On request we arrange the tuning appointment for you — we work with an experienced piano tuner, scheduled by arrangement.
Yes, including the paperwork. We apply to the authority, put the signs up in good time and take them down afterwards. One address costs 140 €, both addresses 220 €. Allow around two weeks of lead time — in Vienna's inner districts and short-stay parking zones the zone is often the difference between a 20 metre carry and a 120 metre one.
Yes, properly, from 190 € including removal and a disposal certificate. A piano is bulky waste made of wood, cast iron, felt and steel strings and has to be separated for recycling. If the instrument still plays, please tell us first — sometimes we find a taker through music schools or associations, and then disposal is not needed at all.
A formal valuation is issued by a piano technician or an expert appraiser — not by us. For the transport insurance itself, your details on make, model, year and current value are enough; the sum insured in the quote follows from that.
